Privacy Practices Arc of Angels at the Friday Center, Chapel Hill Sat Dec 13 – Sun, Dec 14 Volunteers needed Fri, Dec 12 – Mon Dec 15 Volunteer Job Descriptions Decoration Helpers (standing/walking/some lifting) Help decorate rooms as needed at Friday Center, position entertainment in rooms, answer questions as needed. Designers’ Assistant (standing/walking/some lifting) Unpack boxes, collapse boxes, trash pickup. Entertainment Guides (standing and some lifting) Check in entertainment, help groups move to staging area, and assist the emcee. Information/Greeters (standing required) Greet the public, hand out programs, answer questions, explain items of interest such as tree ballots, and assist traffic flow. Pack Up Crew (standing/walking/some lifting required) Hand wrap ornaments, prepare trees for delivery, dismantle displays and general clean up. Party Set-up (standing/walking/some lifting) Moving cases of beverages, tables and chairs, unpacking boxes and decorating. Silent Auction Table (standing required) Greet public, promote silent auction items, maintain bid sheets and provide information. Tree Angels (standing required but chairs are provided) Protect trees and help prevent breakage, answer questions, secure trees. Tree Delivery Angels (driving/standing/walking/some lifting) Deliver trees and/or help set them up in buyer’s home/business. Unpacking & Installation (standing/walking/some lifting) Set up of event, unload supplies, unpack boxes, categorize supplies, set up workstations and assist with installation of display pieces. Ticket Sales (mostly sitting) Sell tickets and answer questions. Volunteer Check-In (some walking is required) Register volunteers, provide name tags, directions and information. Volunteers needed Fri, Dec 12 – Mon Dec 15 Volunteer Job Descriptions Friday Volunteers In the office-volunteers to prepare to move donated items, registration materials to Friday Center. At the Friday Center volunteers at approx. 5 PM to be sure space is set up for Santa, Carolers, registration tables Designers will arrive to set up tree displays but volunteers aren’t needed for that. Saturday Volunteers 9 AM-3 PM Public viewing 6 – 10 PM black tie evening with silent and live auctions Volunteers needed throughout these events Serve as Hosts, Greeters, Circulate the room and Answer questions Assist with auction, process transactions, registration table Dress up to get in the swing of things but don’t have to be as formal Sunday Volunteers 10 AM-3 PM Public viewing of trees, Santa and Carolers Monday Volunteers 8 AM-12 noon Tear down and pack up.
